What is an elective ultrasound?

An elective ultrasound is an ultrasound that you can schedule. It is performed with a medical grade ultrasound machine for the purpose of connecting with your baby. An elective ultrasound is a non-diagnostic ultrasound. Think of it as your babies very first pics.

Does this take the place of an ultrasound at my doctors office?

No, an elective ultrasound is similar to a photo-shoot. It is non-diagnostic and does not replace medical care. Every pregnant woman should seek proper care from a licensed medical professional.

Is elective ultrasound covered by my insurance?

Since elective ultrasound is non-medical and non-diagnostic, it is an out of pocket, elective expense.

Are Ultrasounds safe for me and my baby?

Ultrasound is safe for you and your baby. Because ultrasound uses sound waves instead of radiation, it’s safer than X-rays. Ultrasounds have been safely used for over 30 years. As a matter of fact, most providers use ultrasound as part of routine care. 3D 4D ultrasounds use the same type and intensity ultrasound as a 2D ultrasound.  Of course we always have safety in mind, we only use our equipment in OB mode set below the recommended allowances by the FDA and follow the ALARA principals.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, we don't take drop-in’s because we would hate to have you waiting around for an extended period.  But check out our schedule and if you don't see the day and time you are looking for, call or text!  719-660-5687

How far along should I be before I have a 3D 4D ultrasound?

You can have a 3D ultrasound as early as 22 week and up to birth, but we recommend 26-34 weeks for the best images.

Can I bring my family and friends to my 3D ultrasound?

Of course, we encourage you to invite your friends and family! This is one of those wonderful life experiences that is so sweet when shared with loved ones. Our large studio can fit up to 9 adult guests.

What if my baby doesn't cooperate during the ultrasound?

Baby's rarely play by our rules.  If we are unable to get good pics, we will ask you to schedule a re-do appointment free of charge.  Most of the time we get the pictures we want by the second visit.

If we are looking for your baby's gender, we will ask you to return for a free re-do visit until the gender can be determined.

What is included in your ultrasound packages?

With all of our ultrasound packages, you are welcome to bring up to 9 adult guests.  Your session will include Free Live Stream to invite friends and family who are unable to attend in person.  Your live stream link is located on your confirmation email.  Family and friends can simply click on the link to join us.  In additions to free live stream, you will receive a recording of your entire ultrasound set to music, 2D pictures for 2D ultrasounds and color pictures for all of our 3D 4D HD Ultrasounds.  You will also receive a copy of all of your digital images plus video shorts to share with friends and family on social media.

Can you determine the baby's gender?

Yes, in most cases we can provide a gender determination, but we can not make a guarantee. Various factors effect the ability to determine gender. Of course, if we are unable to determine your babies gender, we will schedule another appointment for free!

When can you determine my baby's gender?

With Sneakpeek Gender DNA Test, we can determine your baby's gender as early as 8 weeks.  You would receive you results as fast as 1-day and the results are 99.9% accurate.

With 2D ultrasound, we can determine your baby's gender as early as 13 weeks, with the best accuracy between 14-16 weeks.

Can I use Sneakpeek to determine my babies gender if I am pregnant with twins?

If you are pregnant with twin and your results return as a girl, then both of your babies are girls.  If your results return as a boy, then at least one of your babies is a boy and we would need to do a 2D Gender Ultrasound to determine the gender of the second baby.

Am I far enough along to learn my baby's gender with Sneakpeek?

What kind of ultrasound equipment do you use?

You are important to us and we are always striving to bring you the absolute best.  From great service, great prices, to our amazingly cute Mid-Mod Baby Theater complete with HD projection and TV.  Now, we have added the GE Voluson E10 complete with HDLive Silhouette Technology.

What does that mean for you?  HDLive Silhouette is a cutting edge image rendering software which produces true to life images while utilizing safe and normal strength ultrasound waves.  This mean that the images you see of your baby will be crisp, clear and life like.

What can I do to ensure I get quality 3D ultrasound pictures?

Prior to scheduling your appointment, pay attention to when your baby is most active and schedule your ultrasound for that time frame. Also, pay attention to whether eating or drinking changes your baby’s activity level. If eating or drinking makes your baby active, be sure to eat prior to your appointment. If it makes your baby sleepy, adjust your meal so that your baby will be ready for it’s big show. Many baby’s become active after mom drinks something cold or fruity, so try a fruit smoothie prior to your appointment. Be sure to hydrate well 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. Good hydration will affect your amniotic fluid which can affect your images. Finally, the best images of your baby’s face are obtained when your baby is head down. If you suspect that your baby is breech, postpone your appointment until your baby flips

What if the difference between 2D, 3D, 4D and HD?

When, in my pregnancy, is it safe to do Prenatal Yoga?

Our prenatal yoga classes are all taught by teachers who have the Yoga Alliance Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) credential.  This means, in addition to the 200hr training required for a basic yoga teacher, our teachers have an additional 115 hours of training and prenatal yoga teaching experience.

Unlike a regular yoga class, all of our class sequences were designed 100% for the pregnant woman's body.  Which means, they are 100% safe from 1st trimester thru birth.  You don't have to worry about modifications or safety of the postures provided by the teacher.  You can simply enjoy each class and rest assured that you and your baby are safe.

I am concerned that my baby is not getting enough breast milk, what should I do?

Breastfeeding is the most natural thing, that sometimes just doesn't come so naturally.  Enso offers various things to help you with your breastfeeding journey.  We offer a donation based breastfeeding group each Tuesday at 1pm, led by an IBCLC (learn more here), which is the highest medical breastfeeding support credential available.

We also offer medical grade scale rentals.  A baby scale allows you to measure the amount of milk your baby consumes during breastfeeding, simply by weighing your baby on the scale before and after the feeding. Weighing infants before and after a breastfeeding to measure the amount of milk consumed is known as “test-weighing.” The “before” weight is subtracted from the “after” weight to determine the amount of milk consumed. For test-weighing to work accurately, a baby must be weighed in exactly the same clothing and blankets before and after the breastfeeding, so that only the milk intake is “different” between the two weights.
