Mom & Tots Yoga - an opportunity to stretch, play, and connect. Join the conversation, then join us in class!
What is tots yoga? It is fun, playful, and definitely real yoga. Yoga helps young children retain their natural suppleness and flexibility. They develop awareness of their bodies’ needs and sensations. Practicing with their beloved adults gives them valuable bonding time and gently accustoms them to the dynamics of a group class. Yoga can help them learn to balance, to be aware of their bodies in space, even to calm themselves down.
Tots yoga is good for mamas, too! There are all kinds of creative ways to work your core, improve your balance, and get in a good stretch (even with a toddler climbing on you!). And - some days - you will get to relax into a sweet, cuddly savasana with your precious little yogi. I do hope you’ll join me!
This class is limited to mamas who have confirmed with their provider that they are able to participate in yoga and toddlers who are walking-preschool.
One class registration fee covers mama and up to two walking children who live in the same household. An additional little may be worn by mama. Adoptive mamas are welcome.
Please bring water and prepare to be barefoot. Some mats are available to borrow, but if you have your own please bring it with you. Note that this class varies dramatically depending on how many children join in, and what their ages are.
